The education and training of the Argentinean mastiff
Like all dogs, the Dogo of Argentina cannot become a full-fledged companion without the right training and education. Training an Argentinean mastiff is not an easy task, but given its nature, size and strength, neglecting training and early socialization is simply a crime.

A well-trained Argentinean dog behaves modestly, barks a little and is not an overly zealous watchman, constantly ready to rush to the attack. But for this, you need to deal with the dog a lot, regularly and purposefully.
These dogs need considerable physical activity, but they can be lowered from the leash only in a fenced area, if you are absolutely sure that there are no other people and animals there. In such conditions, providing the pet with the necessary load is a non-trivial task, and it is worth considering this question before you have a puppy of the Argentinean dog.
Great Dane of Argentina can perfectly “work” as a watchman and search dog, sometimes they are used as hunters.
But before choosing a specialization, the dog needs to be trained in the main commands: “Fu”, “Place”, “Sit”, “Lie”, “To me”, “Nearby”, “It is impossible”. These commands must be performed flawlessly in all conditions - this is the key to the dog’s safety and your peace of mind.
An untrained, uncontrollable Argentine dogo is dangerous - and first of all for the owner himself, and can also become an endless source of great trouble and ultimately end his life in a bad way. Better safe than sorry.
